MORELOS is a Mexican satellite. There are two such satellite were launched. They are MORELOS A and MORELOS B. MORELOS A was launched in June 1985. MORELOS B was launched in November 1985. These satellites are of Hughes 376 spacecraft series. Both satellites have a predicted mission life of 9 years. MORELOS A was retired in 1994 and MORELOS B in 1998. The payload in MORELOS is known as hybrid or dual band payload because it carried both C band and K band transponders. In C band MOROLOS provided are 12 narrow band channels, 9 wideband channels, 4 for 2 redundancy receivers, circular reflectors and separate C band feeds for horizontal & vertical polarizations.
